I’m looking for an 1/4 hex drive Socket Set for my Impact Driver. I am struggling to find any reputable makes producing a combined unit with a fullish range of sizes (metric), but lots of hex to 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 adapters. Is this the best option? I also want something that I can leave in the impact driver box rather than using in conjunction with the 3/8 socket set I have. Any suggestions please?

I think the lack of availability should be telling you something...
Like putting a significant amount of torque through 1/4" and the associated socket sizes is a bit silly.
What do you need it for? Are you even weaker than me?!

If you're struggling to undo something like a 12mm hex head due to corrosion, then all an impact driver will do is shear it more efficiently.

Unless I'm missing something/I've misunderstood your question?

I have this set from Screwfix, but as mentioned above and on the page, you don't want to be putting much torque through them.

https://www.screwfix.com/p/erbauer-impact-driver-socket-set-3-pack/6297d

The description is kind of contradictory. Says they're impact driver bits, then that you shouldn't use them in an impact driver...

I just bought a cheap set from the local hardware store. Look pretty similar in style to that erbauer set above. No need for anything fancy in 1/4 as there won't be much torque. I also use normal 1/4 square drive sockets with a hex adapter. Never broken one.

Mine look like this (widely available with different brands) and were very cheap but are perfectly adequate strength wise

Nut runner is the name your looking for

Those little hex impact drivers are good for running nuts up but they have no breakout torque when it comes to a hex.

If you think your going to be removing anything that's pretty well snugged up you'll be surprised that it won't do it.

It’s more for tightening than removing, reason for the impact driver is simply that’s what I use and like the quickness of hex shanks. I don’t see that there would be much of an issue using an impact driver given they make specific pozi and torx bits
