Watched it back again sober and must admit I thoroughly enjoyed it just as much as when drunk!

The PVC clad backing singer certainly helped too..... Luuurvely!

Adam Ant was like a sad parody of himself.

The Hives were pretty good.

The young folk singer with the guitar was great.

Bettye Lavette was excellent as ever.

I'd got Paloma Faith down as a bimbo, but I was wrong. Just been checking out some of her stuff. She's superb.

I met him once. And I was a big fan of his when I was a nipper.

When I realised it was him I was awestruck. We talked briefly and then to be quite frank, I wanted him to bugger off. I didn't want him near my family. He was very odd, definately on a different level and IMO, it felt like he was just waiting for someone to challenge him so he could get aggressive.

I could have been wrong but I've known a lot of people who had that highly strung style persona.

Samurai, AA had a lot of serious issues, up until fairly recently, which he's openly talked about. He was on 6Music recently, and now he seems to have gotten himself really straightened out, and he's enjoying the benefits.
A bit like Peter Green, he was a real wreck for a while.
I really like Paloma, her speaking voice gives entirely the wrong impression, and I do wonder if she plays on it a bit, to deliberately wrong-foot people. Great singing voice, and looks like a lot of fun to be around.
I was rather taken with AA's blonde drummer, too...

He could make a lot of money touring with that.

Ms Georgina Baillie

As in Andrew Sachs' Grand-Daughter? Russell Brand/Jonathan Ross phone call etc.

Edit: Apparently so.

Indeed - Mrs Feet & myself went to see him last year - good gig too!

Re Georgie - she has her own band that is the support for Adam Ant on his tour, the wonderfully named 'Georgie Girl and her Poussez Posse'.

Was you lot watching the same Adam Ant that I was? He was awful, I thought it was dulllll & he looked a right geek...

Hives & Paloma Faith however were great.

+1 tinsy. Saw him a good few times in the day, pre and post kings of the wild frontier and he was superb.

Hootenany Adam was just a parody of his former self and not in a good way. Quite taken with the backing singer though.

Well he is getting on a bit 😆

Suprised that Marco Pirroni wasn't with him still.

Ah, the 80s revival tour makes it onto the TV. Fab. Just what we need.
Next Shitennany (I made that up, you know) Kim Wilde and Howard Jones.

I think it sounded better in 1980 when I was about eleven. I remember buying Kings of the Wild Frontier and Ant Music as 7in singles.

"I was sectioned in Tooting Mental Hospital and found myself strapped down to a bed. I looked down at my chest and watched a cockroach slowly crawl across it from side to side. I think it was at that moment I thought there might be something wrong..." - Adam Ant.
