We will be in touch
Hi,
Weekly run of Norton AV showed an alert for 3 trojans - 3 removed but one unrepairable and in quarantine. It's called acscore dot exe and is within a AOL backup file - I haven't used AOL for months!
From what I can find out, it could be a false alarm but I'm not a techy sort and am a bit worried ......
Anyone any knowledge on this trojan/virus?
Cheers,
Carl.
where does it say the infected file is? In the restore folder? Windows protects the restore folder by default so anti-virus programs can't remove the files, it's a common method of protecting themselves from deletion. You can turn off system restore which will allow the file(s) to be deleted.
I don't think so - it is in here ... C:\Program Files\Common Files\AOL\Backup\ACS\Current\Suite\comps
Cheers,
