Mrs Gob and I run 2 small businesses.
1 is a vat registered limited company, the other a smaller sole trader.
My current accountants are local but I don't feel they offer any decent support and answer questions with questions.
Anyway, in this post covid World, I don't see any major advantage in having a "local" one.
Can anyone on here recommend one?

Conversely, having used 'chain' ones, I'd rather have a good local one who actually know and understand you and your business. If you don't like your current one, I'd be looking for another locally.
