Off to walk up Scafell Pike in a fortnight and need a half decent hotel that does B&B. Not bothered about it being too flashy, as long as it's close and does decent food 🙂
Anyone know of something along these lines?

Which way are you going? Not sure what the Wasdale Head Inn is like this days, but it has a nice bar, and Wasdale is stunning.

+1 for the Wasdale Head... you won't get closer or more traditional than that.
Or the Boot Inn in Eskdale is pretty good, and it's actually a better walk up the Pike from that side IMHO if you're reasonably fit. Upper Eskdale is lovely and remote feeling without all the 3-peakers and assorted numpties you get on the slog up the Hollow Stones path from Wasdale.
