not been on here for a while but does anyone know of any decent,bike friendly digs near to GT ?
tried the GT hotel but its closed when we want to be there.

The cross keys is very bike friendly and there are huts AT glentress available for hire

Innerleithen has places, the Traquir is decent and good beer/food.

I stayed at a bunkhouse in inners...really cheap/clean/modern...actually a modern flat with bunk beds in.....I'll try and find the link tomoro

Peebles, tontine hotel. Great food, top night porter, nice town. Especially when the young farmer type do was on!

The wigwams are heated. Stayed there last week with my 6 y.o. daughter and it was quite cozy.
The owner even put an additional heater in ours because of the little 'un. Nice chap.

fair play to the guy for capitalising on his investment but i dont think the wigwams represent very good value for a bed.

kalzie is good.

Good place to start gypsys glen , its not too far to ride to inners and you can ride to glentress easily across the golf course path.

oh and they are heated the wigwams - i have stayed there in the past - point to note - take a sleeping bag.... no bed covers supplied.

Glede Knowe B&B in Innerleithen is lovely and very bike friendly.
