The cross keys is very bike friendly and there are huts AT glentress available for hire
Innerleithen has places, the Traquir is decent and good beer/food.
Kailzie Bunkhouse - 10 mins ride from GT

like the idea of the huts.
I stayed at a bunkhouse in inners...really cheap/clean/modern...actually a modern flat with bunk beds in.....I'll try and find the link tomoro
Peebles, tontine hotel. Great food, top night porter, nice town. Especially when the young farmer type do was on!

http://www.glentressforestlodges.co.uk/ - They don't appear to be heated - Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Rather you than me in them huts this time o year ๐ฅ
great stuff, plenty to go at there..
The wigwams are heated. Stayed there last week with my 6 y.o. daughter and it was quite cozy.
The owner even put an additional heater in ours because of the little 'un. Nice chap.
fair play to the guy for capitalising on his investment but i dont think the wigwams represent very good value for a bed.
kalzie is good.
Good place to start gypsys glen , its not too far to ride to inners and you can ride to glentress easily across the golf course path.
oh and they are heated the wigwams - i have stayed there in the past - point to note - take a sleeping bag.... no bed covers supplied.
