I'm planning on going to New York for a few days in October wondered on accommodation. Flight arrives in to JFK at 11pm on Saturday night and I need accommodation for 3, possibly 4 nights, Sat-Tues. Then we're moving on.
Any reasonably priced hotels to consider or is it Airbnb all the way?
We are going in September and are using air b&b. Saves us around £800 over 5 nights from reasonable hotel prices.
I stayed at the HI Express near Madison Square Garden a few months ago for work and it was pretty reasonable. Like any big city you're getting a double bed in a room the size of a kingsize bed with a shower in the wardrobe. That sort of area seemed to offer a good balance of proximity to attractions / price / violent knife & gun crime.
