I need a set of 4 AA batteries for my digital camera.
Am I right in thinking that Lithium rechargeables are the best way to go?
If so, where should I look to buy them, and a charger, from?
Have looked at DX but would like delivery measured in days rather than weeks (nothing against DX, i think they're great but their delivery time will be too long).
TIA
I've just got one of these
One charge did a full weeks holiday.
i use eneloops
Some cameras dont like li-on batteries apparently.
I use the hybrid nimh like the eneloops mentioned above.
7dayshop AA "good to go" NiMH.
like eneloop technology, but cheaper.

The Hybrio NiMH are the least annoying because they come charged and don't self-discharge.
There are some 2500mah eneloops out now, look on amazon
As mentioned before, the Eneloops are brill. Hold 80% charge after one year in storage too.
most rechargeables are only 1.4 volts instead of 1.5 volts - I have found they don't work very well in high energy consuming equipment like cameras. I find rechargeables are pretty poor compared to std Lithium batteries.
Get a few of these and never look back.
Eneloops or the Panasonic equivalent Infinium. I use the Panasonic ones in my flash & they are very good. Something like £5.99 from an Amazon seller; might even gave been 7 day shop...

I think they are actually 1.2v but al the camera manuals I have ever read have recommended them over alkalines because they handle the high intermittent currents better. Alkalines are better for low current stuff like rear lights.
Eneloops look interesting though
Thanks for the replies, those Eneloops look as thought they're worth a punt.
