it's not the dog that's a knob it's the owner for dressing him up like that

I was waiting for that comment, didn't quite expect it to be the first one.

Crawl back under your miserable little stone, until you manage to find a sense of humour.

Got to agree with the above comments, unless, your dog is actually a comedy genius and sneaked out of the living room put on a stupid hat (who owns a hat like that anyway) and strolled back into your living room playing it for laughs

Gotta love the tag at the top - I think 5 years living with a dog is time enough to gauge his placid nature.

Hey ho, a bit of lightheartedness met with the usual vitriol.

It's my 10yr old daughter's hat - she put it on him.

Jeez

Well I for one found it chuckle-worthy. Anyone who can't appreciate the finer points of dog-dressing humour needs therapy. 😉

Let's be fair, I'm pretty sure the dog dosnt mind, not like it's been painted or dancing for pennies on hot coals, it's a dog, as long as it's fed, walked, and fussed over, it's happy!
That is a silly hat though....
Do you wear it when the dog isn't 😯
Edit, so you force your daughter to wear it then, that's cruel.....

She begged for it from River Island - as stupid as they might look, I'm led to believe they're all the rage with 10yr olds - and mongrels

I was sat opposite a girl (early 20's) on the tube at Christmas wearing that hat.

To be fair, she looked better in it than your dog, although your dog does look highly amusing wearing that. He even looks quite pleased with himself.

I'm loving the dog in the hat 😆

Dogs like being centre of attention - hence he loves wearing the hat. Gotta love him for it 😆

If Elmo saw him normally he'd poo his pants, roll on his back and stick his legs in the air........but in that hat he reckons he'd have him.

Elmo is a dog who is scared of everything, top of the list at the moment is bird scarring banging things.

What I've found most amusing on this thread was this remark:

Crawl back under your miserable little stone, until you manage to find a sense of humour.

Which was in response to:

it's not the dog that's a knob it's the owner for dressing him up like that

Which was quite clearly said in jest. 😆

Excellent. You couldn't make it up...

Do you know what 'irony' is, Baldrick?

Yes, it's like goldy or bronzy, only it's made out of iron..

Fred - did you have something nice, useful, or humourous to say?

Didn't think so.

This being STW, do you really think the 1st reply was meant jest? What amuses me, is that I knew it was coming word for word and this being the case didn't bother me in the slightest. It was merely treated with the contempt it deserved

BTW - the thread title was an homage to Harry The Spider's thread about his son
