The Honda Jet is a brilliant piece of design and will really take off (hur, hur) in the US if not elsewhere.
The engine mounting is all about peace and quiet, I think.
Seems a perfect solution for intra-continental business travel, I reckon. I'd love to have access to one for my transfer flights in the US. I mean, this is what "first class" looks like in an AA MD88

Yes, it's going to be quiet without engine vibration.
The wing design is made of one piece aluminum without any bolts etc and it has no carbon composite at all I like that very much ...
But will engines that thing fall off? Someone got to show me how strong that is.
It is the most advance jet in it's class and much more economical (fuel, space, comfort, electronics etc) by comparison to similar class jets. Took Honda 10 years to design something like that and they are using GE engines.
I think they should all be used for 1st class travel ... 😀

62A on a BA747.
Why would you think the engines will fall off on the Honda? They are usually mounted on pylons under the wing on commercial twin jets, so no big leap to mount them on pylons above the wing. I'd imagine they are mounted this way as it is a small aircraft and you don't want fuel pipes, hydraulic pipes and electrical harnesses being routed up the side of the fuselage to fuselage mounted engines taking up valuable interior space.

Just been out clearing leaves and something big and noisy and low is overhead. Look up and it's only the biggest aeroplane in the world, the Antonov 225. That thing is HUGE! Going to have a ride down to Finningly later to have a look, hope it's not on a quick turnaround.
