So we headed off for our weekend in the mountains. A couple of nights of wild camping and a couple of tops.

Interesting mix of weather you must have had. I was just a few miles away...

Looks a great way to spend the weekend in my neck of the woods, thanks for sharing! I headed West and got myself some weather yesterday, North of Loch Cluanie.

On the way up Carn Ghluasaid.

[img] [/img]

Colder than it looked.

[img] [/img]

[img] [/img]

Lunch on Sgurr na Conbhairean.

[img] [/img]

Ridge to follow next.

[img] [/img]

Sail Chaorainn.

[img] [/img]

Then back the way I came.

[img] [/img]

Looking across to the South Glen Shiel Ridge on the way down.

[img] [/img]

I've spent today hiding from the wind!

We had "interesting" weather indeed. Sat evening cold (freezing point) and dry, Saturday we go one shower of 30 mph ice but the rest of the day in sunshine, Sat night tent breaking gales even tho we were down in the valley - and like you guys fantastic views all weekend. Just fantastic

Light tent V scottish gales

Looking good chaps!

I had to be a bit closer to home this weekend due to family reasons, so spent the weekend climbing in the Trossachs instead of Glencoe/Skye.

We seemed to have enjoyed a bit warmer weather than you lot, I've got a t-shirt tan to prove it (although, I did also manage to pick up 5 ticks too).

It did get a wee bit wild on Saturday evening, but spring camping in the glens is feeling quite civilised at the moment (even in crap weather) after a full winter of roughing it on mountains. A pint at the end of a day is a luxury that I really savour now!

Anna enjoying the views after topping out of the appropriately named "Drifting from the Shore"

was glorious on Saturday - grim wet and windy today. Had to do an emergency hunker down in Inshriash Nursery Potting Shed.
