Yes, a pretty good time to sell. There are sometimes better offers but 80% (assuming it covers bikes) is pretty good and your fees will be minimal.

Yep. Get on it. I always wait for an 80% off listing. For a bike a £1 deal would be a little better but they are very rare and more selective these days so 80% is as good as it gets. You can find tables on HotUKDeals to tell you the fees you'd expect for a given sale price.
List a load of stuff at silly prices.
I've got an old panel heater on there for £1k, about twenty times.
When I get around to having my clear out I just update each listing to be something sensible, no need to wait for the next 80% day.
