Dwayne Peel loss of form how about Peter Rogers, went from being world class to being farcical. Now a property developer I think.

Should be another interesting weekend.

France were exciting last week but they did leak THREE tries to a side who's only five pointer in recent memory was against Manu Samoa. This means that against an Irish side (who are clearly past their best) they may disintegrate, as they did against the Aussies, or win in a festival of running rugby.

Who can tell? I can't........

Scotland, at best, can only beat Wales which never seems to prove anything because Wales seem to be making a sow's ear from a silk purse on a regular basis.

Which leaves England v Italy. I can't ever remember ENJOYING an Italy game in the 6N (except the win at Murrayfield a few years back LOL) and I don't expect to enjoy this one if it turns into the dogged bun-fight that the Italians will be looking for. There's always hope that England might get ahead enough to have some fun but we'll see.

If NZ were playing any of the six this weekend how would they fare?

Peter Rogers......... I remember him.

He was about as Welsh as Guinness.

Well the Welsh under 20's beat Scotland hollow so lets hope this is a sign of things to come. Bit of biff as well ๐Ÿ˜€

Rogers was exonerated unlike Howarth and Sinkinson

Great try, unfortunately scored by a pillock of a man.

Oh for the day he drops one.

Just wish he was a little more 'intuitive' after the tackle.

Strange game to play counter attacking rugby at home. Seems to be working so far. Nice warm up for tomorrow's grand slam decider.

muddydwarf.........when you come to union from league, having to release the ball when tackled seems a very very alien thing to do.

he will get better i think.

Needs to learn fast Ton, at this level it can mean the difference 'tween winning & losing.

He is a natural talent though, one of the few who can really switch from one to the other i suspect.

New Jason Robinson?

A good points difference here might be needed in the battle for second, third and fourth.

Darcy, your loyalty & enthusiasm for Ireland is now verging on the delusional! Have to agree though, Ireland need a good points haul to acheive 4th place this year... ๐Ÿ˜›

Right, off to take the dog for a stroll...I think the next match might be worth watching. Undoubtedly, England are showing far more quality than Ireland showed last week - but this is not the Italy that showed up in Rome either. Ill-disciplined and a bit clueless - I guess England are exploiting the weaknesses and making them look even worse.

I'll save my beer for the next game.

Good stuff from England though - even Cueto's looking good and that's something!!

Cueto does a lot of the quiet work, not many tries though.

Now, which Celt do i want to lose the most, the Welsh or the Scots?

Will be cheering the Scots, like the way they are playing.

EDIT: 3 TRIES for Ashton.

An Italy than ran Ireland very, very close though Ton.

Don't be fooled, they aren't a bad team at all.Not great but not at all bad.

59-13

A better performance than last week & made a much-improved Italy look very ordinary. TBH i thought Italy would rip us apart in the scrum but no, a good solid performance from the forwards allowed the backs to make hay today.

Ok, Wales or Scotland?

Great show from England, they have had a decent amount of quick ball in their last two games, they need to be stopped on or around the gainline and slowed down, or they are going to be dangerous.

Italy were a lot worse than last week, first up tackles missed all over the shop.

If our lads can't get the finger out against France tomorrow its time for a new coach or the World Cup will be another shambles.

England still have some way to go in time for the RWC. Was hoping Wilko would score 2 more for the record

Ton you played to a decent standard, did you see Italy miss a lot of first-up tackles last week?

We squandered a couple of chances to score last week and Italy provided a lot of gimmes today. Even if we lose to the French tomorrow this slump is going to come to an end at some stage and our guys have too much pride to roll over for the English at Lansdowne.

That's what I thought too. England are spreading themselves out very well, which is what caused Wales problems and Italy simply couldn't cope. A case of reasonable good play and a decent game plan by England and a complete failure to deal by the Italians. Compare their defence with Wales last week.

I will claim Scotland for the win today.

They just look more adventurous, more willing and more able TBH.

Wales are in disarray (sp?) but never count them out, they can rip you apart given a chance.

Hopefully be as good a game as the last one.

Nick Mallett says:

England played well, but a lot of that was off Italian mistakes. I don't think there's a 40-point different between England and Ireland. They played well but we played badly."
