So we all have iph9nes, Andy most of us have an iPad, but it’s all being run off one iTunes account, wouldn’t it be better to have separate accounts? We would probably want to share some photos and music, is it possible? At the moment we have issues with receiving iMessages on all devices, but we are workin* on that

You can have a sepeate account for each but share the App account, music can be shared with a family itunes account and photos can setup to share cetain photos or folders.

Some (most?) apps can be shared via family sharing so no need to try to beat the system with a common account!

^^ this is what family sharing was created for, I think it’s limited to 5 people (who can have multiple devices each)

Beating the system?

It’s how the system is setup to be used. 😆

We’ve just (as of last week) moved from sharing one account to Family Sharing with individual accounts.

It’s made bugger all practical difference after a little bit of set up and means I now don’t get “missed calls” for calls on my wife’s phone. Which is nice.

Only issue with Family sharing if you count it as one is the main account holders payment details are used for everyone else’s purchases (at least I can’t see a way for that not to be the case) but we just set the kids accounts to have all purchases free or paid to need approval.
