Has anyone's employer offered this yet to save on redundancies ?

I'd switch to a four day week in a shot. I could easily drop to 0.8 of a timetable, but the hours would be spread over five days still so it's not really worth it.

check what your redundancy pay would be based on if the worst came to the worst - you don't want to end up with 40% less 'cos you did a 3 day week for a month or two...
