Up to now it's the worst one of my entire 60 years. Worse than divorce in 1991, worse than going bust in 1997 & losing my Mum in 2001 & Dad in 2003.
Mrs EGF has been in hospital since 24th May after being diagnosed with bowel cancer on 3rd May. She/we knew something was up in March. Initial op to remove the tumour went well but 3 days later she developed an infection so had an emergency op to clear it out on the evening of 27th May. Again, but after a week in ITU/HDU things seemed ok &she was moved to a normal ward. Little progress & lots of pain & another scan showed another & apparently different infection. So she had another bloody operation last night to wash that out.
She seemed pretty good tonight all things considered but I wish this year would **** itself up it's arse. 🙄
& I'm still lumbered with a dog I didn't want!!
Really sorry to hear all that.
You would hope it could only get better from here?
Healing vibes to you both.
Keep your chin up.
Thoughts are with you.
On the positive side - you're 60 and still going strong

Egf sorry to hear about your situation. Hope your luck takes a swing for the better.
What can I say dude - I hope things get better for you and your missus gets better quickly

Sorry to hear that mate. Really hope things pick up soon for you both.
Echo all of the above sentiments. You seem like a nice fella and I wish you and Mrs Egf all the best. Give the dog a cuddle, you know you want to. Please keep us all up to date with Mrs Egf's recovery.
A' the best EGF. Things will get better, I'm sure.
2016 is going down as my worst yet, things are slowly getting better, I can only hope that that same will be true for you from now on.
Chin up, take joy from the little things and hold on to hope, and if you can't keep your chin up, rest it on the shoulders of your friends, family, or even people here if it helps, we'll all be rooting for you both.
