However the French team is a bit of an unkown quantity and I have spent many years watching us lose to them so...still worried.

A fairly settled Welsh team against a largely unknown French team (even by their standards!).... what could go wrong? 😕 I've managed to get home to watch this but I don't have a huge amount of confidence in a Welsh win

In club news, Peter Stringer has signed an extension for Sale.
It really is a pleasure to watch him in the flesh & close up every other week. The difference in application, skill level, quickness of thought & hand, and general game reading ability between him and Cusiter (who is no bad player himself) is quite remarkable - especially given his advancing years!

Just watched the first half of the Super Rugby opener.

Highlanders leading the Blues 24-20.

The core skills are so impressive.

Yep, great to have it back on. Such fantastic entertainment compared to the stodgy 6 Nations!

Friday night is not a proper time to be playing international rugby...

Disagree, sets up a good start to the weekend. much prefer it to the Sunday games, especially the away ones.

Undercard before the main event. 😉

I ****ing hate Wayne Barnes. Pissing about delaying the put in to a perfectly steady scrum just so he can make a point. Unfortunately he loves the sound of his own voice and thinks he is bigger than the game.

Shut up and let them play, man!

Agreed on the scrum - but more kicking than Ireland !!!

C'mon Wales keep it in hand and play some rugby, you are the better side

That was a hit and a half from Sam on their 7.

I think Barnes is a very good ref. I also don't think he's done either team any favours.

The Barnes Show!

France look shoddy. Wales should be winning by more, but haven't had the bite.

France remarkably resiliant or is it Wales offering little ? Despite zero territory should be 6-7 😯 Could be another French robbery ?

Great. It's half time. Shall we talk about the game. Bollocks to that lets have a wee film about England instead.

Let's reduce the energy in the show a bit by talking about England's game tomorrow. 🙄 They can't make it through ten minutes without it, can they?

Good grief - absolute dross.

Wales, France and especially Barnes. They all need a half-time bollocking.

Have to agree, some refs (WB and Steve Walsh are prime culprits but it happens at all levels) seem to need to make the game all about them. The best refs allow the game to flow and you hardly know they're there.

Comedy try. Plisson won't wamt to see that again, is he a 10 or a lumbering forward with no skills ?

'Calm down, calm down...you look to me like a mad man' Has Jonathan Davies never met Brian Moore before or has all that code-switching left him with no ability to discern a pertinent point made by a (albeit opinionated) man who knows his mind, knows his sport and most importantly, knows his code.

We have a new employee, who happens to be french. He looks nervous when we shout "putain de merde" across the office. I'm enjoying his input so far.

But a win's what everyone plays any sport for.

My god the French made Wales look far better than they were. Better improve when I go to watch them at Twickenham.

Most bizarre, couldn't believe Wales not scoring with all that pressure then France likewise. The fluke try made it look comfortable. Plisson was a real lard on that "chase" back Anyway its in fhe book as a win.

Yeah but we beat France. I remembervthe days when putting in a good couple of runs and not lising by much was the most we could hope for!

Dull game, thank God we had an insightful ex player like Ali Williams to share his vast knowledge of the game. Tells it like it is as well.
