We will be in touch
I am going for a meeting in Paris on Friday with some of my team.
We will have a couple of hours free before we need to come back.
What would you suggest we see/do during that time?
Ideally low cost and 'family entertainment'!
I thought about a trip up the Eiffel Tower but it is half term week and booked solid
Anyone got a view?
Afganistan exibition at Musee l'Armee, followed by WW2 exhibit and Napoleans tomb. Turned out to be very humbling, and the highlight of our trip four weeks ago.
Jim Morrison's or Edith Piaf's graves?
graffiti
For two hours? Champs Elysee, get an expensive coffee and watch the world go by.
20 laps of the Peripherique
Or, you could rent a car
20 laps it is then.
Not quite what my team was expecting but I'll tell them that its just how stw rolls.
Go to montmartre and have some cake in one of the many cafes. Complete view of paris, great artists to see, brilliant architecture, top food.
Can't think of a better place in Paris
S-A, that's more like it! Cake and culture. Tres bon!
Can't think of a better place in Paris
Wander round the 5th and have a coffee near the Sorbonne.
Wander round the Marais and have a coffee at Place des Vosges.
Wander round Galeries Lafayette lingerie department and drop a month's pay on a present for your wife.
Yes Montmartre is good and all, just avoid hanging out at the bottom of the Sacre Coeur steps as it's constant harassment from the hawkers, particularly if you've got any ladies with you. Other than that either what SA or Mackem said. Also if you're over that way, there's a lot of nice cafes and bars in Saint Germain.
2 hours is enough time to get a meal though 😉
Cheese and wine in or outside a bar and people watch
'2 hours in paris' Isn't that a 'film' of a certain genre?
Rodin Museum near les Invalides or The Pompedieu Centre gallery
What stuff do you like? Musee D'Orsey is great if you like art or a walk around Mont Matre (it will be properly busy though). Perhaps you could all get daft caricatures done?
Place Vendôme in the 1er for poshness and people watching.
Les Grands Magasins are indeed a worthwhile trip, on the Boulevard Haussmann. The glass domed roof in Galeries Lafayette is marvellous.
