I didn't go for an Omega in the end but plumped for a ridiculously well kept Certina. A Chronolympic DS.

Kudos for buying something you like rather than trying to impress anyone! 🙂

Doesn’t look 70’s to me, but it’s got charm.

Cool!
Now you just need a curly perm , cheesecloth shirt ( dyed) , loons and some 4" platform shoes to finish the look ..no half measures now 😀

How much did that set you back? Just looked on eBay and the price / condition varies somewhat!

We had some interesting watches in the 70s. Check this out:

I like watches and own a few nice ones (Rolex, Nomos..) sorry to say I'm not a fan of this.
The Omegas just look a bit more special TBH.
If I was after a decent quartz watch I'd still be looking for a analogue display and depending on a Budget either something like a Bulova Tuning fork or one of either Grand Seikos or Rolexs quartz options.

That said as long as you like it thats the main thing.

Nice!

I had on of those Casio's with the built in infra red tv remote control back in '97 or so. It got lost, sold for crack etc. years ago. About 5 years back I found you could still get them!
Did I buy one to relive some idyllic vision of the world that never really existed just to give my dysfunctional upbringing some substance? Hell yeah I did!

Much prefer that to that Rolex you initially looked at. That was fugly. 😀

The above comment is based on a purely cosmetic preference as I'm not "into" watches.

Nice! Although a Casio would be cooler 8)

Santa also brought me a watch, a slightly more modern Garmin though 😆
