i bought an 18650 battery Thursday from nubattery delivered Friday put in the torch and charged all good, got one of the protected ones good value and works well.

Just check its at their main warehouse otherwise it can take a bit of time if they bring in from the EU.

Thanks for the PSA @gobuchul It's reminded me to get a replacement for the 18650 I have in a rather elderly Lezyne front lamp, which is used mainly for duties picking up after the dog in the back garden these days, but still runs flat much quicker than it originally did. Worth a try for a tenner.

I rather miss the days I could order a bunch of 18650 or 14500 Li-ion batteries from DX.com in China and pay comparatively peanuts for them.
thanks for the Fogstar link, I just ordered some forunder £3. Ive been testing mine as theyve been failing, and most are way down from stated capacity
Thanks for the Fogstar link from me, a shame they don’t do 14500 cells, but I do have several torches with 18650 batteries that are showing their age, and they seem like the best bet, cost wise.
