yeah
Finally 18 months after first applying for planning, I have approval, after going to appeal, 2m squared and I have an extra bedroom on the way.
All I need now is a way of finding the money, how about £1 from every member a month. Call it paying my rent for me, I could offer up a bike for sale if that helps.

And of course in that time the rules have changed so you may not have need to get planning permission depending on size and location. But well done in getting it. Did you have to make many changes to the original plan?

Do it yourself! Materials are just pennies compared to the labour. If you are working in a fulltime job it will take a long while. This is great because you will hardly notice the outlay due to the rate you get through materials.

Live in greenbelt/ conservation area, so no change in planning laws would have hepled. The plans were drawn up with the optimum chance of gaining planning. In the end plans were fine even council said so it was due to reduced light to neighbour, who didnt object.

No chance i want the thing to stay up, my 4 month old daughter has to sleep inside it.

Maybe I should try a working party, like the guy in the woods off Grand Designs did, free labour for a new skill.
