add me too please!! lost 10lb before Christmas but need to lose another stone, email in profile too

One suggestions winner should be person who loses most in % not just in lbs/stones, did this at work other year and made it fairer with the skinnier guys who were in, a big lad won it in the end anyway though!

Got to do something. Need to lose weight but more importantly need to fight the depression and a group effort like this is just the sort of thing my counselling suggests so count me in.

104kg at present and ultimatly would like to be 85kg but 95 is probably more realistic and healthy for one year.

Look forward to seeing the progress.

Cheers

Andy S

P.S. I've got a combined body composition monitor/balance so I can do mine in % body fat. I'll get my fat %age recorded for my profile.

Great, loads people on board! Basically, weekly weigh in - I'll publish details and we see who loses most. Don't know about % idea- what's peoples thoughts?

I'll bug people for weigh in and call you if you drop out- some real peer pressure!

Will be chatting to our suppliers- see if we can get a little prize pot together!

Back in the shop Saturday to start on this.

18Bikes, why don't you have the main prise for the biggest loser their choice of any bike at trade price if your suppliers don't go for it. That means we save lots but it cost you nothing

I try this every year and life gets in the way... but I NEED to get this sorted this year! So count me in!

eMail is probably in my profile, but its rob AT alpinist DOT co DOT uk

2 - 3 stone would be ace, if I can even just shift 1.5 stone I will be happy enough though, that would get me back down to when I were almost in shape a few years back levels (though since my work is a lot more manual now than then there has to be some additional muscle mass...)

To be honest, don't think I have a goal as such, more just shift excess flab, the numbers don't matter so much!

same as some one posted on 1st page. On an endless run of medication thats making me pile on the pounds and need to shift it.
So count me in.

This forum has so far had me join the flickr 365 group and now a weight watchers group. What next? (and i dont even have a mountain bike at the moment!)

Bit late, but can you please add me to the list. Would like to be 10kgs (22lbs) lighter - got to be more efficient than spending money on shiney new light-weight bike bits.

email in profile

Weigh yourself, email to whoever is running it, they publish all the participants/weights/targets/progress on here on a weekly basis. That's what happened last year anyway.
More fundamentally it works through peer pressure and public humiliation for me

Cool, sounds ideal.

104kg at present and ultimatly would like to be 85kg but 95 is probably more realistic and healthy for one year.

That's near enough me, we can form a special interest group!

Could someone check that my email is available in my profile please.

Not wishing to jump the gun but I intend starting for proper tomorrow (I know, it being new years and all). In fact I'm already a couple kg's down after three months of eating a lot of smackry.

Surely it would be easier to have an e-mail address for everybody to send to? If it were me I'd not be arsed looking up peoples profiles.

Also how you going to verify the starting weights? Cos if you manage to persuade Cotic to contribute I'm actual 750kg...

Ah, yes, this is a good idea. Taking on an office based job 15 months ago has somehow added a stone (good stone admittedly) I haven't shifted yet. I presume this is the place for gentle encouragement and the odd bit of ribbing?

just weighed in this morning, before breakfast and after dropping the kids off at the pool, 209.0 lbs.

Target 182 lbs. That means shifting about 13% of my body weight by May is my target.
