@raybanwomble

That pissed up thick hooligan is talking about Muslim Rape Gangs, not Muslim Ray Guns. As in the paedophile gang in Rochdale.

I didn’t see last night’s programme but if you are talking about close-ups of near-death camp survivors, I’d disagree.

It was close-ups of them during their present day interviews - all slo-mo arty shots that weren't needed - I think back to the filming of the veterans interviewed at the end of Band of Brothers which were so much more sympathetically shot. And the subject certainly doesn't make me feel uncomfortable otherwise I wouldn't be reading (for the second time) Primo Levi right now. Reading his text brings infinitely more detail and reality to what happened than seeing pictures taken at the time of their liberation.

Yes just heard that. Apparently the questions were quite confusing in the survey with double negatives etc and the likely figure from another survey in the states shows 2% disbelievers.

Brits find it quite OK to be loud-mouthed and often drunk in every ski resort in the Alps but object to people speaking foreign languages or just lookin foreign in small town UK.

How long has it been since you last spent any significant time in ‘small town UK’?
I’m not aware of any particular hostility towards anyone with a foreign accent, ‘looking foreign’, or wearing ‘foreign trowsers’ whatever the heck they are.
90% of the staff where I work are Polish or from other central European countries, living in the South-west of England, we get shit-loads of people of all nationalities and ethnic backgrounds, and very, very few give much of a toss.
Speak with an English accent in parts of Wales, on the other hand...

I heard the more or less show, too. Surprisingly the reason 'we' on STW thought it was a misleading story was because the Guardian said the question had been "Are you aware of the Holocaust". That was wrong and the question was about whether people thought it had really happened and it was misleading for completely different reasons.

Show is here:
