Kit reviews? I am happy about this, even if I already saw it reviewed on the website. I like kit reviews in mags. Still not wrestled Mint off MBUK then?

Looking forward to see what you're up too with the mag.

Congratulations to @colournoise for making the cover.

Last two issues of the Magazine have been very disappointing (imho) and it was with a heavy heart that I cancelled my subscription, (😔 I've had every copy since the 1st issue) change of style to lots of white space on a page and little actual content or loads of pictures and not much text doesn't do it for me

I'm hoping for a problem page. Why won't my tubeless stay up, can I get pregnant off a toilet seat, that sort of stuff.

That’s quite the marketing…

Buy our magazine.

Why?

We’re not telling you.

And people wonder why magazines are dying a death.

The full members newsletter had quite a bit more detail in it, but we are keeping some of it under wraps until it lands because, well... That's just fun.

There's a members only newsletter? With secret insider info and stuff that I get to be all smug about? Why have I not heard of this and where do I sign up?

Can't see it at https://singletrackworld.com/communication-preferences

Surely there should be a smiley at the end of that?  No way have you dodged all attempts at getting you on the mailing list 😀

I thought I was on the mailing list, but now I find out that apparently there's a normal newsletter and a "special" newsletter.

OK, just in case this is genuine and I do appreciate this site isn't exactly well ordered and intuitive

Yes, the special member's only newsletter. One of the big changes is closure of the forum to be replaced by a strictly edited 'readers letters' page in the mag (yes, there is a mag) 😀😀

Aha. Thanks rootes1. It's here:

https://singletrackworld.com/newsletter

So to get the member's version, first sign up for the regular one, wait for it to arrive, click the link at the bottom, sign up again to the other one, pass the captcha, go back to email and click the confirmation link, then you're sorted 😁

As long as there's less gravel nonsense I'll be happy - I don't buy a mountain bike mag to read about the worst aspects of road and mountain bikes combined!

Hopefully it’s more entertaining I’ve found the last few boring, being not interested in the politics of people etc. Feeling a bit nervous given the mags current direction. Hopefully gets back to an inspirational and entertaining bike magazine.

Well, unfortunately I don't think they have managed to pry mint away from mbuk as he's still in their latest mag

Not the best issue I’m afraid. Great cover photo but not much mountain biking in it. No bike reviews. A big gravel article that I have no interest in as I mountain bike. I still have no idea what a purposeful adventure is and how it’s any different to going for a ride.

Oh Dear oh Dear, the change of printer has not been an improvement.

The matt paper destroys the quality of the photography which is such a large part of the magazine.

The white out text on dark backgrounds is difficult to read ( you need to chose a clearer font and up the point size ) and again the paper quality doesn't help.

I hope by the next print run, your new printer has upped his game and a better quality paper stock is selected.

Personally I love the content, especially the stories of big rides and truthful experiences, plus super photography.

Exactly my thoughts too. Poor quality photo reproduction made worse by the seeming blanket use of instagram filters…

phew thought it was my sight going - yes not a comfortable read in many places.

I like the size though.
