It’s big news week for Red Bull Hardlines. Yes, plural.

Can't wait to watch live for once. And free!
The dry and dusty landscape of Tasmania
Where is this coming from?
It's dry currently but it's pretty wet at Maydena a lot of the time. They struggled to get good weather for testing.
Almost the same annual average as Machynlleth.
Been watching a lot of the track walk videos. It's looking rad.
Should be a great event. 🙂
First hits.
Bernard is just such a whirlwind of positivity. I love how he helps so many riders hitting things for the first time.
He tows Valli in on a couple here.
Thought the article might have mentioned the time it's on.
Looks like 3am Saturday UK time, so I will watch on catch-up in the morning (or post-ride).
That's a great video....really enjoyed it.

Same. It's funny seeing where they all crossover.
I see Nina has now pulled out, following Tahnee.
Hope there's not too reduced a field. Do they have subs ready to go?
I thought maybe Robin Goomes might be in after her success at Rampage.
Good to see Matt Jones riding. He's been getting way quicker riding with all the other fast people, and stoked to see Ratboy back in it. Style for miles 🙂
And Valli Holl said something about not racing on her insta I think.
Edgar though!
Lots of scary gaps and drops there, but the sheer speed through that motorway jungle section gives me the jeebies. That POV footage of the train clearing that jump when Matt pulled up was fantastic.
Asa, WTF this kid is the real deal, he’s going to tear it up in Elite, still got another year in juniors
I kind of don’t get the rationale of building such big jumps at the end. They need to be ridden flat out to get over them, have been closed lots in the last few days and in qualifying some people got favourable wind others couldn’t even take the last jump.
surly better to make it a slightly smaller gap so can be jumped in some wind ?
I was hoping to watch hardline Wales as a break.between the Trans Cambria and Traws Eryri. It would just be me, on a bike. I wouldn't really want to pay £113 for a car pass but it doesn't seem.like there is any alternative. Do they actually let you in if you aren't in a car?
It seems an odd time to hold the Welsh one. I would have thought they would be more likely to get more top riders if they gelded after the race season. I know it’s in the summer break but that’s still risky for those needing points for their job
If anyone is local, the YT Mill are doing a watch party tomorrow morning at 10 with breakfast then a ride after.

The rationale is that it is great spectating. But you're right is well risky.
An earlier start time might help too. But I notice this is prime time viewing for West Coast USA which may factor.
That was good. I guess all the gnarly stuff happened during seeding. Good commentary.

You can walk up and pay on the gate. I paid about £18 on practice day last year.
Camped at dyfi adventure and walked for about 2 hours, (with a pub stop on the way).
There isn't a path, and it's long grass on the roadside verge.
A lot of people rocked up and dumped their cars/vans on the grass verges outside the venue, which was scummy as ****.
There are no provisions for bikes, but you could probably lock yours to a random tree and walk the rest, as its in the middle of nowhere.
The event village is pretty crap. Couple of dog food options, and the 'bar' only serves red bull & shorts. No beer.
2 big screens, and you see the last couple of jumps, which is cool.
50 odd kids stampeding to 1 of the jones brothers after his run was pretty funny!
Luckily got a WiFi signal and watched raceday on my phone in a sunny field (campsite) with a few beers, while fettling my bike.
£120 for a carpark/entry ticket, means its overpriced unless you've got 5 people in your car.
That was just incredible.
Bah - Just been on to RedbullTV to watch the replay, to find the reult plastered all over the page. Fair enough, I'm not watching live but... 😕
Yeah it's pretty hard not to see the result anywhere, even when you're just trying to navigate to watch it.
I saw Troy say something about being 3rd, and that pretty much meant that Jackson and Asa were a 1 and 2.
Roku TV or plugin gizmo then
Use Red bull app 🙂
Absolutely loved this, insane levels of skill to manage any of it, never mind get in a full run at race pace. Well done to Matt Jones, quite a transition! And to watch Gracey get in such a calm, measured run 🙂 hopefully more women will be there next year.
All in all, brilliant build up, epic riders and camaraderie along with all the legends like Bernard, Gee and many others. And the younger riders like Jackson and Asa, just wow. That winning run…
Jackson was sublime, but Asa? Incredible, from a close call up top to only being fractions of a second off the win. These two are going to dominate in the next few years, shame WB have robbed us of watching it develop...
Hardline series would be greatly welcomed 🙂

A 2-day pass for the Tassie event was $55!

Mouthwatering to think how good Elite will be NEXT year when Asa steps up.
Maybe WB will have landed on a sensible payment structure by then too.
Informed and engaging commentary from Rob, Elliot and Vali was a total delight after Ric & co on the World Cups. Notice how they would correctly spot and explain what had happened to riders in the replays?

I'm not sure gelding riders will encourage them at all. At least without balls that big they will be able to sit down.
Yeah. Did you see Edgar Brioles? Nasty leg breaker.
