Bit sock showing? You mean pointlessly short.

That Privateer looks nice, although I'm sure there are a lot on here who will criticise the kinked top tube & down tube.

And why is it a fashion thing to have short legs on full length trooz? Especially on something that's designed for pedalling in wet weather. Won't water just run down ankles into the shoes? Seems a lot of money for something which is designed not to fit quite right.

Don’t those new Privateer 161s weigh over 40lbs!  The first gen ones were great, but these are uglier and heavier.

Yeah I have those Fox trousers, I'm a pretty much industry standard medium but these come up short. Actually so do pretty much all waterproof mtb trousers, or at least they're not long, and it's bloody annoying- the downside of being an inch too long is almost nothing, the downside of being an inch too short is shoes full of water. If anything I'd rather have some extra leg scrunching over the shoes.

I also tried the Fox trousers - Comedy leg length about half way down my calf! Went to Dirtyrides MTB as you can choose leg length - defo recommend.

Do the Fox Defend 3L Water Pant have a closable fly?  I've always thought that was an odd design decision by Fox: to leave the fly gaping, especially in waterproof trousers! More 'designed in California' I guess...

While I have always enjoyed the Benji/Hannah/Mark/Amanda FGF videos, it was good to see someone from the bike industry talking about their latest goods and other peoples stuff as well. Andy from Privateer struck the right balance when talking about the bike and was fair with the other fresh goods. I would like to see more of that providing it doesn't become just a sales pitch by said guest. It doesn't have to be a "company" person, how about a LBS owner, trail centre manager, a "niche company" rep talking about the latest stuff on the market.  Just a thought ................

Mark's Twiki impression was brilliant. Instant flashback to my youth.
