Hi all,

Been on a zwift plan but weird things keep happening and my scheduled training rides keep getting pushed back, or becoming unavailable. I'm aware that if i miss the window for a training ride, then it will disappear...but does riding outside the plan (...e.g. going for a social ride, enrolling in an event or completing a workout outside the plan) have any impact on the plan?

You will have extra fatigue load and potentially risk overtraining, plus depending upon what you do off the turbo, you might improve your FTP and make the Zwift training zones too easy.

Don't forget you can click on a plan workout and tell Zwift you have done it. I was supposed to do https://whatsonzwift.com/workouts/back-to-fitness/week-1-2-basics/ by the end of last Sunday, but I decided to do a short loop at sunset instead, which very broadly achieved the same aims as I hit ~450W for 20secs seven times https://www.strava.com/activities/4376120374/overview ... So I ticked it off the Zwift workplan.
The similar(ish) nature of the workplan and my loop was coincidental.

Your plan will have zero sympathy for your tired legs after doing something it didn't ask you to.

Which is why I'm trying to avoid the plans now, it basically stopped me going on adhoc rides for the duration
