Just ordered a replacement zee brake. First time I’ve seen Shimano brakes come without the brake cable attached to the lever (yellow stopper on the brake lever opening and blanking cap on cable, to contain oil). Box seems to come with a pin insert and nut but no olive. Has the design changed so no olive required?

The olive is already mounted inside the brake lever. Just cut to length put a new insert in and push the hose into the lever and tighten up the nit. Make sure you push it in firmly so the hose goes through the olive into the lever properly.
