looks like a small volume accumulator, hence it has to go to quite a high pressure (did he say 160psi?) basically the same principle as a lemonade bottle inflator, but they want $120 (I expect thet translates nicely to £120 over here?)...

You could buy a proper compressor for much less than that...

What would be ideal would be a properly bike portable version something you could prime to high pressures and then use to inflate tubeless tyres from flat on the trails or to get a Road tyre fully pressurized without a CO2 cart...

120 dollars!!! Blimey. My coke bottle inflator works fine and cost pennies.
