Hi,
O.K, I have been mountain biking for 18 months and I have flirted with Dalby, Gisburn and Glentress. I live in Harrogate and need some inspiration to explore my doorstep natural riding.
I would really appreciate any pictures of the Yorkshire Dales just to see what I am missing. Thanks in advance.
That is brilliant, where is it?
This is not far from Harrogate - Moor Lane Middlesmoor

Got this for you too, local though not quite dales....
deejay, I've done that Middlesmoor lane in Febuary when it was sheet ice going down! I was going so fast I didn't dare to break until I hit rough enough ground. I got to the bottom and thought god that was dangerous but it was f&^%*ng amazing. Swaledale looks superb.
Thanks guys just what I was looing for..
Deejay - is that on the way to Nidderdale?
If you pop into the Dales Bike Centre in Grinton (Swaledale), the really nice guy there that runs the bike shop will sell you a selection of laminated maps of some really great ride routes. He charges a couple of pounds each for them. A bargin when exploring new ground as you know you are climbing or descending in the right places! I did them all last week and thoroughly enjoyed them.
@ hammy7272 - a month before that picture was taken there was still at least 2ft of snow between the walls - was a long walk that day.
@Pook Yes its the track over In Moor to Scar House Reservoir
some of that must be on this vid then
There's you in Arrogate (was there today) & here's me in Boroughbridge, isn't it a small world?
Swaledale is me & my mate's main riding area.
Think my email is in profile if you want to tag along sometime.

And I'm in Linton-on-Ouse, mere miles from both (and do most of our shopping in Boroughbridge)...
Nice one essel, might just do that, cheers

I'm only in Darlington if a Swaledale excursion is planned ๐
Ripon lad here #waves#
No pics but Grassington area really worth a look with my favourite going up Mastilles lane. It's closer than dalby!
