Did the Deadwater trails in Keilder yesterday in non-stop rain. Pretty miserable when standing around waiting for people but the good bits were still good.
There also seemed to be some kind of race, just finishing as we arrived.

How glad was I that I'd actually remembered to take a full change of clothes and spare shoes!!
Pleased I chose Saturday then to do the lonesome pine trail. I hope the chap on the stretcher in the top car park patches up ok and managed to enjoy their air ambulance trip.
The event you saw on Sunday was probably one of the UK mtb triathlon.
Make that 'UK mtb triathlon series races'...

Aye it was one of those days where you're soaked through within seconds of getting out of the car. Forecast was for showers but it poured down all bloomin day. Bah!
