I have just replaced the original XT shadow mech on my 08 5 Pro. The new mech, a current XT shadow is very slightly different at the B screw stop, which means that even with the screw right out, the guide wheel is still a bit lower than ideal.
anyone noticed this ? Only solution, apart from do nothing, looks like taking a file to the bit of the hanger that the mech stop sits on.

I wonder if they have updated the hanger since 08 ?
