Starting to clear out a bunch of things from my rather large bike hoard, though not much movement as yet... wondering if I'm asking too much perhaps? I think I'm being reasonable (basically asking around the same prices that I paid for things, most of which hasn't been used since I bought it, mostly off these classifieds), but what do ya'll think? Need to clear things out (wife on my back!), but I'm (personally) not desperate for the cash so won't just let things go for a complete song... I guess I just have to be patient right?
I guess I just have to be patient right?
or you could try pimping them in the bike forum ?
wasn't the intention, though I know it can be construed that way... just trying to get some opinion, same as a what's it worth thread surely?
EDIT: changed thread title a little 🙂
same as a what's it worth thread surely?
I hate those 🙁
Prices seem reasonable to me except the Inbred frame. Irrespective of it being rare a new Inbred is about the same price so I reckon you've got no chance on here. I've been selling some stuff last couple weeks but nothing over £45 and knocked down on everything. Oh sorry - roof bars with 2 bike carriers for £105 for nearly new kit selling at £210ish. Needed the cash so had to drop from the £140ish I was hoping for.
And don't forget that there have been numerous posts on here about sellers taking the p**s with prices. Seems to be an attitude that sellers should be doing buyers a favour. Not much support for sellers maybe needing some help financially.
And I have donated an (admittedly) small amount to STW for the sale sI've made.
Personally I wonder if pricier stuff will start to move as weather improves. Even though STW is fairly hardcore I still reckon that more users will be looking for stuff as more riding gets done as the spring kicks in.
Good luck.
