[Closed] XT Rotor an Lock Ring on Xtr 975 hub

i put a xtr centre lock rotor on the xtr rear wheel ok,
but when i tried to fit a xt rotor to the front wheel
it would not grip, it seems like the tool is not deep enough
to get the xt ring to bite into the xtr975 hub threads.

i read that with the older xtr965s you needed the lock ring to match the hub
not the rotor.

but with the others you need the ring that matches the rotor for it to fit properly, which they are but having no luck

the lbs said it would fit ok, an it does fit the rear fine
but the front is not having it.

some of the tools online look deeper toothed then my cassete tool

any ideas guys, im thinking my tools not deep enough?
an will 1 tool work for fitting an removal? 😳
