Does anyone know if a 36t XT middle ring will fit on a Truvativ Stylo chainset? I've got an SLX outer ring that fits fine but I've read somewhere that XT rings may be slightly different.

I don't think so. I have just tried to fit a 32t Deore ring onto a Truvativ chainset and it doesn't fit. The bolt spacing is right, but the chainring fouls on the lugs by the holes. A bit of time with a file would sort it out and make it fit.

What rings are compatible? Truvativ rings don't seem to be widely available.

I didn't bother testing out other options as I had already ended up with a spare Shimano ring...
I have deore rings fitted to mine at the mo, waiting for them to wear out so I can put the much nicer stylo ones on. So it would seem not all Deore rings are the same... I did have a problem fitting the 22 tooth ring though 🙂 hope this helps
