Best chain to try and avoid the backpedal chaindrop of doom? Looking at the kmc x11 superlight or maybe a Sram chain. Want something with a quicklink rather than the Shimano pin snapping nonsense.
Will be 34t, 11-46.
Also, is the medium cage gonna work ok with this?
I also have the first gen m785 xt brakes. Were the very first ones i-spec A or was there a pre-ispec version?

I run the kmc on my fatbike, 30x11-46. Works very well.
I don't get any chain drop but maybe I don't backpedal too much.
I have a medium cage SLX mech and it's been perfect with it.
Thanks. Oh and the i-spec thing, I've seen some people saying you don't need this extra bit and the i-spec B shifter will come with hardware to fit to i-spec A brake. Don't want to spend the extra if it isn't needed but also don't want to be left high and dry.
