Friday next week want to do an xc ride and logistical reasons it needs to start in Llangollen.
I know the bit south of the canal and it will work fine. The bit north of the canal i don’t know. The strava heat map shows it all as reasonably popular. Just makimg sure i’m not riding into any known access issues.
I walked something quite similar to your northern loop a couple of years ago, albeit more on the ridgeline than you have marked (I was looking at some of the cairns and standing stones). That was in mid Dec, and as such it was quite wet underfoot in places, but should be better in June. Can't comment on bike access issues, sorry.
There’s some big climbs in that !
What bike will you be on ?
Send me a PM and you can see my Strava with some of the stuff I do up there.
I wouldn’t bother with the southern loop bit or are you staying in the Llangollen vallley ?
I’d park up worlds end way and incorporate a lap of the trail centre or the mast run or both if on a eeb and don’t mind pedalling
The panorama/ worlds end is cheeky trails. It’s getting more and more popular because of idiots sharing it on YT. people don’t appear to be able to ride it without locking up every and causing more damage
edit: do your north route anti clockwise to get the best riding.
I’ll be on monster cross/ drop bar rigid mtb my friend will be on a very xc hardtail. Logistics mean s llangollen start is the best option. Looking for that xc minus gravel plus vibe.
The climbing will be fine. We met on a gravel event in wales. Day one was 2,000 m of climbing, day 2 was 2,400m . She waited patiently for me at the top of every climb. Neither of us is as fit this year but you get the idea.
Don't forget to have a pint in The Corn Mill, and a quick visit to the re-cycled cycling clothing shop over the other side of the bridge, next to The Bridge Pub.
Worlds end on a drop bar bike will be exciting to say the least. Hope you have great bike control and a head for heights.
We were in Llangollen over half term. My top tip is to watch out for the Ford by World's End. It's only about an inch deep but the surface is like an ice rink!

Is the technical bit under the cliff? If so we’ll go up on the road. Which is i think want komoot showed
Is the technical bit under the cliff?
Yes there is no point trying to ride up it, even on mtb. I think you would get down most of it on a drop bar but I don’t think it would be fun
It is also the Offas Dyke Long Distance footpath and should be ovoided on busy weekends!
Cheers, we’ll go up the road. Hoping Friday will be quiter than the weekend
