I've moved from gripshift to trigger

x9 trigger - it's quite stiff changing up on both front and rear

is this normal?

will the 0x be any better

Does the shifter feel stiff when it's not connected to the mech? If yes then there is a prob with the shifter. If not then have a look at the cable run and check that the mech moves easily.

Was quite disappointed with my X9 when upgrading from X5. Basically the same thing with metal shift paddles. Looks nice but essentially the same action. X0 much much better super-precise bolt-action feel

Did you put new cable inners and outers on at the same time?

its a completely new bike. it could be normal but feels hard to push up the ring or cassette.

grip shift rocks - I'm a huge fan - but a little problem with the amount of break lever it takes up. apart from that they are better IMO
