Suddenly on tonight's ride out of nowhere shifting down into 3rd biggest cog on the back and it's very very very hesitant to go in, it does eventually but takes an age....

All other 10 gears are perfect, and I can shift up Into 3rd precisely too, just down shifting into 3rd and it's just not wanting to happen, doesn't matter whether riding or stationary the same result

B screw, and hi/lo limit screws are fine as all other gears shift fine

It's all only two months old from new, chain is at just inbetween .5 and .75 and it's got plenty of lube on

Any ideas?

Hmmm not sure mech hasn't had a whack and all other gears are spot on, could be a possibility though

Or loose bolt on mech hanger, or sticky cable.

Downshifting issues are usually cable related. Could be a kink where youre shifting down. Id replace the cable and see.

cheers rickon - my mate reckons its probs the cable too (he's got x01 and had similar issues)

defo not whacked the mech and absolutly every other gear is fine, so cant be too much

will try and get a new cable sorted

Every time I order from on- one, I throw in a 2 pack of their stainless inner cables now for £3.99.
