I've recently purchased a pair and have heard they can run 26 or 27.5 wheels, is this true?
Not the end of the world if not as I've bought them for my 26 inch hardcore HT but it would be nice to occasionally stick them on the front of my 650b bike when needs must.

Am I also correct in thinking they're a mixture of oil, air and coil with the bias towards coil? That would be great as I love the feel of a coil spring fork.

Any hive mind opinions well received please.

Yes they can. I'm not sure if they have to be altered internally though to stop the tyre hitting the arch. There was conflicting info on this when I bought my 2013's.

As far as I know, there are coil versions and air versions, not a mix of both

I used them on my mega am275 with a big mavic charge tyre, not the most clearance ever, but it worked. Should be no problem with a more modest tyre. Mine were air, but coil are available, as above I'm pretty sure it is one or the other.

I had a set of 2011 HLR model. They were originally for 26, but I then used them for 650b. They fit, but with not a lot of clearance. If you are going to use them permanently for 650, then summer only.
The HLR are a fantastic fork though, just a little heavy. best feeling fork I've owned.

This is all good, keep it coming....theyll be going straight on the Hornet HT and taking a trip to BPW so I can 'evaluate' them properly....or just hoon down the blues and reds, either or!?

I've got my HLR's (air) fitted to my Shan (were on my Enduro). There's a few pics on here from the past few days unless you want another.

Had the DLA (travel adjust) version first off and they were amazing, but ended up getting 'stuck down', so I was advised to swap for the non adjustable ones. I wasn't happy at first as really had to drop the pressure to get any small bump compliance. They eventually came good though
