it's hardly mtb friendly, but dyed in the wool commuting types may think it very useful...

Saw a bike with them in London last week, and I've seen them before that. London is the least surprising place to see them though ๐Ÿ™‚

not exactly a new idea. We have a pile of similar indicatory thingies in the 'doomed never to sell' spot in the shop.
Usual problem is the lights end up too close to the centre line of the bike to work properly as indicators.

I think it's more a case of buying tat, realising that it is such, and to pump your e-bay listing you go back and rate it high in the hopes that some mug's nan gets them one to make them safer. Cos, you know a 40t truck will much more likely avoid you if you've got 4 flashing yellow leds.
