Thought I’d share,so was recently in Tel aviv. To my surprise there cycle infrastructure along the beach front seem pretty good. 2 way segregated cycle way and in it they use these:

Battery - check (not even assisted just twist go)

Fat off road tyres - check

freewheel (oh yes 7 speed obv) - check

Cable disks - check

folding - check (oh yes)

front suspension - check
