Weekend Ride Picture Thread.
You know the drill.
Ride ya bike.
Take some pics.
Post em up with a few words about the ride.
Still got half functioning lungs and a four week headache but just about managed a 1000 meters of fun this morning with @Sofaking.
Muddy but mega grippy and 8 degrees.
Ideal riding conditions.

Flew home from Gdansk this morning (3am alarm for a 5.30am flight), walked through the door at 10.30am, so headed out for a few hours.

Flew in and out of Luton.

That's three Geometrons been out today then. 😁
Managed to squeeze in a quick Friday night pump track play after work again.
Bit of motivation needed to get out on a gloomy friday, took the grovel bike round Widdop, Wycollar, Haworth (sprout and cheddar soup - surprisingly delicious), Warley and home to Hebden. Bumped into my son, out on a hardtail bash. Honest, he's blurred cause he's moving. Always moving.
Any rides a good ride, but I'm envious of Jimmy748 and a sunny-ish Winspit /Square and Compass!
Another 1200 metres this morning with Mrsstu and a mate.

Local spin out this afternoon, Change of route as it was breezy on the tops and didnt fancy a headwind all the way to Scamonden so stayed in the woods (plus they're more fun!)

Short and steady 11 miles on the HT, getting over 'the cold from hell'. 1st pic looking down the valley towards home. 2nd pic is a boring(ish) trail to a fabulous trail down to Bakewell, but the first time I've been able to ride it since summer due to bracken. Usually have to go through a field full of sheep shit instead to get to the good bits. 3rd pic, 11am pint

Couple of hours at Puddletown this morning, virtually puddle free, and it’s nice to be able to drive home in my riding trousers and not need to wash the bike.

Not raining anymore, but plenty of mud around in the woods this morning. More surprising were the higher than expected number of trails that were pretty much bone dry and running really well.
Good grief
It was very, very hard to drag myself out from under the warm duvet this morning.
After a couple of weeks of what has felt like constant overindulgence at parties (birthday and Xmas) it really felt like I needed to get out...but I feel knackered! Definitely getting too old for non-stop drinking.
Did manage to drag myself out the house for 10am, then had a fantastic 60Km / 1000M climbing gravel ride to the N of Leeds, out up the Washburn Valley and back over Otley Chevin. Sun came out and the trails were in amazingly decent condition for the most part.
At the start I felt very slow and unfit but my legs seemed to remember what they were supposed to be doing about half way around.
Felt absolutely knackered when I got in so I've just lounged around all afternoon doing nowt. Lovely.
Must get my fitness back!!!!!

Rode yesterday and this morning but not taken many pics. Here's one from this morning's brake and shock test ride. Unseasonably warm, a few puddles and mud here and there but also some dust!

Dartmoor finest loop. Very nice.
