Going to watch stage 9 of the Tdf.
Wondering if anyone knows if there will be a big screen in town to watch the football or if anyone knows of somewhere else?
Roubaix isn't really a place I'd want to hang around - the only exception being the Velodrome. I'd head to the centre of Lille.
As above, the only good thing about Roubaix was the velodrome and train station out...
Very much a run down industrial town unfortunately and when we last rode Roubiax two years ago was quite an eye opener to see the poor refugees in what are pretty much shanty towns on any waste land.
Its a 25 minute steady ride from Roubaix into the centre of Lille and its 99% cycle paths. Lille is lovely and full of lovely bars and restaurants. I imagine there would be no shortage of places to watch the game there.
