World bicycle day

Always seems to be at the end of the day I discover it's world bicycle day, after I've commuted home from work completely unaware it's a special day to be on my bike. It's not about the day having any influence over me as to whether I ride my bike or not, I ride a bicycle every day of the week, most weeks. Although this time of the year my commutes to work and back are mostly enjoyable (off road route is never too muddy for instance, pleasant weather, trees ar green etc) sometimes I feel like some sort of underclass amongst those transporting themselves to work every day.
