Hi all

Arrived at work to this on Wednesday

[img] [/img]

[img] [/img]

so a short and fairly polite email was sent to H&R

Please look at the attached pictures, THIS I THINK MAY BE HEALTH & SAFETY ISSUE!

apart from the obvious hazard of putting bikes in the rack, it doesn't exactly go with the company's green image does it!

Why is it we can spend time and money building a decent shelter for people who want to slowly kill themselves and chuck money away, but we do this to the ones that want to improve their health and save money!

people do my head in sometimes

keep it in the office next to your desk until they do something about it?

it does ior lock the bike to the container, and move it in your own sweet time when someone complains?

on the flip side.
is there anywhere else they could put the container?
its got to go somewhere, relativly tidily and out the way (though have not idea if there is or not, obviously)

my work won`t subscribe to CW because there are already too many people wandering around with plasters, sprains, bumps and bruises and they know we are all going to go out and buy new mtbs.

We can ride to Mabie in 15mins and see Ae from the office windows(Mabie is out the back windows)

we have just had an official cycle to work scheme email sent round at my place

only trouble is you need to have a space in the secure bike room before they will let you participate

but with only 20 spaces for over 200 staff many of whom are students there is a 2yr + waiting list

so unless you already have a bike and place in the shed you cant get a new bike through the scheme

i pointed this out and have been met with a ridiculous wishy washy comittment to try and improve bike storage

What are you complaining about. You now have a covered bike shelter, so no more soggy saddle. Honestly, some folk!
