Looks like work might be needing me to go to Dunfermline for a few days a week. So I land in Edinburgh, and am wondering where the nearest trails are at? Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Would also consider some trail centre fun... if it is closish.

Closest routes to Edinburgh are in the Pentland Hills
Glentress is an easy 45 minute drive from town. Inners another 5.
Blairadam Forest has some trails which are closer to Dunfermline.
Laggan is around 90-120 minutes away
Aye, when I've worked in Edinburgh I've realised that while working through route guides and directions may be interesting, it does not provide maximum riding time so I've generally driven over to Glentress and Inners.
Hard to argue with visiting Glentress and Innerleithen really, there's a lot of good riding in the Edinburgh area but when you've only got so long trail centres often make more sense. And despite what some people on here will have you believe, Glentress is still an utterly fantastic place to ride, huge range of riding.
