Is anyone here from this area?

Yesterday I've accidentally ended up in Joydens Woods. There were some nice trails but in very poor conditions, and now I'm reading article about locals furious about irresponsible MTBers destroying their woods which makes me thinking that I wasn't welcomed there..

Thanks

Ride Joydens quite regularly. Had a few issues over the years with a couple of dog walkers, but generally not had an any problems. There were some signs put up by the Woodland Trust a few years ago asking for people not to build any jumps etc.

It's a nice place to ride-some nice singletrack in there once you get to know your way around,at a push I can clock up around 10 miles in there - which is good fun and a decent workout. Fair ammount of additional riding you can link over to Dartford Heath too or head out east to pick up the River Darent and Farningham woods for a more expansive loop.

Some big jumps and little downhill runs in Abbey Wood (...or whatever the woods are called next to the old Abbey!)

I'm in Woolwich, but have almost abandoned mountain biking since I moved SE! Might check out the above links.
