thats not going to cover the cost of any loan set against it. it says they have owned it since 1989, but an ex mountainbike racer owned it for a little while me thinks till he found he had a dicky heart.

Showerman - I think you're confusing The Woodbine with the cafe/restaurant opened by David Baker - which was close by?
but even so, out of that you need to pay wages, rates, water, heating, power, food, bun tax etc etc.

They make a lot of their cakes etc.
I've never seen more than two paid staff there (one during the week)
Whatever the turnover figures, it should be easy to make a profit there. Its got a name that everyone knows, once under 'new management' people will check it out. Generally its OK, a couple of things aren't great but its a honeypot location so in theory can't fail.
1.1m is taking the mickey though
