Why is she bothering? If she hasn't by now worked out that taking your chances at a level crossing is a veerrry bad idea, I'm not sure a dressing down off the BTP is going to change things.

Heard about this on the radio but that's the first time I have seen the footage, bloody hell! Clean underwear required for certain. Does my head in, wonder if people like this ever, ever think of the consequences of their actions on other people. Imagine if she hadn't been so lucky, how would the witnesses have felt, the train driver, and so on and so forth. Idiot!

Ok rant over, sorry.

Hundreds of thousands of people have watched footage of the woman cycling up to the tracks before slamming on her brakes, and edging backwards as the train sped past.

How many of those page hits are repeated viewings? 8)

26" - less angular momentum - easier to stop:-)

that's, 3 women in the last two days who've done that, all wearing the same clothing and on the same bike, is it an epidemic?

I dunno? If she'd been on a 26"er she'd have gone right over those handlebars!

But on a 29er she would have been moving so fast, she would have passed in front of the train easily.

If she had been riding 650b, she would have been hit, but then come alive.

and at the same level-crossing - they really ought to do something to make it safer

So people walk through barriers and lights saying there's a train coming.
How stupid do you have to be , be it male, female or whatever in between.
I just pity the poor train driver who will undoubtedly hit some and the poor sod who has to tell the family of the deceased.
I have no simpathy whatsoever for these bloody idiots.
